![]() Whilst watching his creation fight the Omegazords, he realizes that they will be trouble for him and decides that it was his "destiny" to wipe them out himself. ![]() Unfortunately, the Empyreal decides to show off by creating a gigantic lava monster which blasts the Spectrum II out of commission temporarily. Completely outclassed, the Omega Rangers decided to teleport into the Spectrum II and leave to fight another day. Luckily, Trini rescues him & Garrison Vox appears and unleashes a devastating barrage on the Empyreal who is completely unfazed thanks to a shield. In spite of this and being dive-kicked into the ground by Zack, he is completely unfazed and cuts down Zack with tiny razor sharp rocks whilst Jason is almost being killed by the minion. He then creates a monster that drains Jason, only to get ambushed from behind by Zack and hit in the head by one of his Omega Katas. Trini is the first to reach him, but is immediately bashed back down by a rock and Jason leaps in with his Omega Katana only to get blasted right back down to earth. Whilst he tells them they'll eventually join him, he rips rocks off the ground and levitates them around himself, although the Omega Rangers use them as stepping stones to come closer to him. The Rangers then summon their Omega Weapons because they realize that the Empyreal believes that they are above all other beings in existence and thus would eventually replace all currently existing life in the universe. The being lands & reveals that he believes himself to essentially be God himself and an "instrument of change," whilst generating a blue rose and then crushed it. Whilst doing this, they pick up a random skull and crush it into dust in his palm. Once challenged by Trini telling him that he is nuttier than a fruitcake because he just wiped out an entire planet, he gives another sepal about how they are just speeding along the inevitable. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 52Īfter an issue of being absent, due to focusing on the Earth's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Jason demands to know who the Empyreal is and they introduce themselves before giving a pretentious speech about how they have arrived soon enough to witness oblivion. The Empyreal then confronts them after they defeat their creations and tries to impale them with massive slabs of rock before telling them their name Omega (the last letter of the Greek alphabet) was appropriate since they are facing oblivion. The Omega Rangers, having detected a gigantic energy signature despite being several systems away, came to investigate only to be ambushed by the leech creatures. The Green Empyreal attacks the planet of Gorvin, wiping out its entire twelve million strong population and replacing them with mindless, snarling leech-like monsters. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 50 The Empyreals were alluded to by Lord Drakkon when he returned after his supposed death at the end of " Shattered Grid". Studios) Issue 5 Present But from the light of these messengers came three long shadows of pain and chaos that would one day rise from the sea of stars and cast the universe anew in its final days. ![]() Lentinvous spoke of the first ones, who created three messengers to spread peace and tranquility through the sea of stars that was the universe. It wasn't until recovering the remains of the Red Emissary was XI able to locate an ancient prophecy stated by a philosopher named Sire Lentinvous, who had claimed to see the birth of the universe. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 8Įven the Command Center's data-banks have no record of who or what these things are supposed to be although Zordon felt that the Empyreals had crawled their way out of some dark corner of the universe. With two Empyreals in his service, Zartus unleashed them upon the universe to destroy worlds they judged unworthy of life. This allowed Zartus to resurrect the second Empyreal green in color, or to oppose the struck down Emissary. The first Empyreal, Orange as oppose to blue like the Blue Emissary, then went on to easily slaughter the Red Emissary as they were investigating Lord Drakkon's prison dimension, tearing the Red Emissary apart with its bare hands. Having been waiting centuries for such an item, Zartus seized the crystal, which he calls the Celstial Shard, and resurrected the first Empyreal to serve him. When the Blue Emissary was murdered by Kiya, a crystal was formed in the universe and found by the Eltarian Zartus, Zordon's superior back when he was a Guardian of Eltar.
